In a perfect world whenever someone experiences an acute injury or illness, an ambulance staffed with a Paramedic would be parked outside just waiting to take care of them. Unfortunately this is unrealistic; however the next best thing is to have lay rescuers adequately trained so that if an emergency arises they would be able to respond with confidence and provide adequate care to their level of training. Valley Health & Safety is a training center that specializes in providing emergency service training, consultation to the community and to the corporate arena. Valley Health & Safety excels by offering programs using instructors who are Physicians, Nurses, Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, Firemen and Police Officers. They are teaching the skills they practice as a profession every day.

Our mission is to educate citizens, professional organizations and businesses on health issues and promote CPR, AED, First Aid and Safety programs so that individuals will be well trained, confident and able to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency. In an emergency when every second counts you want to be able to count on the emergency training you've received. Our instructors use the skills they are teaching every day which makes them more effective instructors. Valley Health & Safety Training Center is a division of Monessen Ambulance Service which is a Non Profit 501c(4) Corporation.
Join us as we become part of the American Heart Association 2nd Annual National CPR & AED Awareness Week's "Train a Million in a Week" initiative. Visit educational displays, demonstrations or participate in a program taught by AHA certified CPR Instructors. Saturday May 30, 2009 10am - 2pm Sponsored by: Monongahela Valley Hospital Held at the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center To register: please call the training center at 724-684-9536 Heartsaver AED course will be taught from 10am-2pm. Participants will receive a course manual and course completion card. Cost $15.00 Family and Friends will be taught from 10am - Noon and then another class Noon - 2pm. Participants will receive a course manual. Cost $ 5.00
